Outlook Express 'geblokkeerd'
Beste,

Het hoofdprobleem met deze pc is dat er binnen Outlook Express telkens 2 dezelfde mailtjes binnenkomen. Andere mails komen niet binnen, omdat er geen verbinding kan gemaakt worden met de server. Nochtans is te zien via webmail dat er heel wat berichten klaarstaan om ontvangen te worden.

De berichtjes die toch binnenkomen in Outlook Express kunnen niet verwijderd worden. Wat ik al gedaan heb is in de archiefmap de map Postvak in.dbx verwijderd, zodat deze bij het opstarten van Outlook opnieuw aangemaakt wordt.

Een scan met Malwarebytes leverde 27 bedreigingen op, de online kaspersky scan gaf 2 problemen aan. De logs vindt u hieronder, samen met de HijackThis-log.

Hoi,

Eerst en vooral zou ik eens testen of je die problemen hebt wanneer NOD32 is uigeschakeld. Want er zijn in het verleden idd problemen gekend met NOD32 en outlook.
Zelfs beter is om NOD32 voorlopig te deïnstalleren, pc daarna opnieuw opstarten en daarna je mail testen, want ik vrees dat NOD32 uitschakelen alleen niet veel zal opleveren aangezien zowiezo bepaalde componenten in het geheugen geladen blijven.
Je kan nadien terug NOD32 installeren wanneer we de oorzaak hebben gevonden, maar we kunnen enkel maar op de juiste manier testen als potentiele oorzaken eerst verwijderd worden.

Doe ook even hetzelfde voor "MySecurityCenter".
Trouwens, welk programma heb je juist van "MySecurityCenter"?

NOD32 verwijderd, opnieuw opgestart maar nog steeds dezelfde problemen hoor.

Zelfs nog eens PostvakIN.dbx uit archiefmap verwijderd, account uit Outlook Express opnieuw ingesteld, maar steeds dezelfde 2 mailtjes van 15 oktober 2009. Heel even begint Outlook Express de 72 mails die klaarstaan binnen te halen, maar dan komen de 2 bewuste mails binnen en krijg ik de melding dat er geen verbinding met pop.skynet.be kan gemaakt worden.

Ok, probeer even het volgende..

Kan je inloggen op je webmail? Bekijk daar even je mails en verwijder wat je niet wil ontvangen in je mailbox. En voor de andere, laat die voorlopig doorsturen naar een andere mailaccount, zoals gmail of hotmail (als je die hebt). Je kan je webmail gebruiken om ook mails te versturen/door te sturen.
Daarna, verwijder je de mails op de server zelf.
Wanneer de mailbox op de webmail leeg is, test even en stuur een mail naar jezelf en kijk of hij in je mailbox arriveert in outlook express.

Verrichtingen gedaan en de mails komen binnen. Ik heb er vooral voor gezorgd dat zeker alle mails van die 2 personen waarvan ik telkens 'de 2 mails' kreeg, verwijderd zijn.

Blijkbaar zijn dit niet zomaar gegenereerde contactpersonen, maar 'echte' contactpersonen van de eigenaar van deze pc. Het probleem zal dus zeker bij één van hen liggen...

Het volgende mag je aanvinken en op Fix checked klikken in HijackThis:

O23 - Service: Boonty Games - BOONTY - C:\Program Files\Common Files\BOONTY Shared\Service\Boonty.exe

Het is niet echt malware hoor, maar is gewoon een onnodige service.

Hetgeen Kaspersky gevonden heeft:

C:\Documents and Settings\ziach\Local Settings\Temp\HPSUX2RQ.ZW6\selfupdate_5_2_0_13.exe <== dit wordt zowiezo al verwijderd bij het legen van je cache.

C:\Program Files\Zylom Games\Tiki Boom Boom Deluxe\tikiboomboom.dll Infected: Backdoor.Win32.IRCBot.nw 1 <== hier heb ik mijn twijfels over of dit wel effectief malware is. Ik denk dat dit een valse melding is.
Om zeker te zijn kan je het bestand "tikiboomboom.dll" even uploaden op virustotal: http://www.virustotal.com/nl/

ondertussen is de pc al terug bij de eigenaar. Blij te horen dat er geen echte malware aanwezig was.
