Hardware devices carry viruses?
Hi everyone,
I came across an old Korg nanoPad and I wanna install it on my new laptop but don't want to somehow bring viruses or other bad things into my new laptop. Can hardware devices such as MIDI controllers carry viruses, malware, etc.? Thanks I didn't find the right solution from the internet. RE: Hardware devices carry viruses?
Dear HarryJenkis,
It is somethimes possible for hardware to carry a virus or logger. For example they discoverd a keylogger in a keyboard. But for youre Nanopad, I think you do not have to worry. Youre pad will not carry anything. It is only a divice to control the samples on youre laptop. Just use the software from the manufacurer, keep youre system up to date and use a propper scanner.
